Blogtoberfest Day 5 – ‘A button a day’ during October!

 Art Deco glass buttons:

I love the clean, stylish lines of the Art Deco period. Between the two world wars the Art Deco movement made its mark on the fields of architecture, painting, fashion design, film and industrial design to name a few. Here are a few of my favourite glass buttons that hail from that era. They were made in the Czech Republic, and are simply decorated with silver lustre.:

Hope you’re all enjoying Blogtoberfest! Check it out at Big Cat’s Emporium!

  1. Wow, aren’t they gorgeous? When you photograph them like this they look like sculpture! I have a few of these buttons I bought at a bead show – I wish I had more reasons to use them, but just looking at them is fun.

  2. Hi Liz, I collect buttons too. Are you a Button Floozie? You can check out the link on my blog if you are interested. One can never have too many buttons, ya know!? Drop by for a visit anytime. :0)
