Blogtoberfest Day 20 – After the Fair…

We had a wonderful weekend at the Vintage clothing, jewellery and textile show at Canterbury.

This is our stall – the tablecloths are edged with bright and funky buttons from the 1930’s.

Celluloids from 1920s, bright 1930s and 1950s buttons, button packs, buckles, button flowers and brooches are some of the goodies we were selling. The button flowers were very popular!

Here’s some of our bakelite collection – buttons, buckles and dress clips.

We’re building up a regular clientele who keep coming back to buy these beautiful pieces.

We always meet lots of great people – many are astonished that we have such a large selection of buttons, but it’s great to specialise. So many others sell dresses or jewellery and it’s hard to compete.

I also picked up a bargain – a partly finished yoyo patchwork lot from the 1970s. Here’s some pics:

Not sure what I’m going to do with them yet, but I’m sure I’ll come up with something!
